Lesson Plan

In this lesson, students will investigate the relationship between the media and oversight investigations. Through four historical and modern case studies, students will interact with news coverage of pivotal moments when important information was revealed during a hearing. Students will then use this evidence to answer the question “How important is the media in informing the public about government activities?
