Lesson Plan

In this lesson, students engage in primary source analysis and corroboration to compare two concurrent investigations which led to the birth of food safety regulations during the Progressive Era. Students leave being able to answer the question, “Would the food regulation laws of the early 20th century have happened without the publication of The Jungle?”.
