This weekend, the Learning by Hearings team attended the Michigan Council for Social Studies conference in Grand Rapids! The MCSS Annual Conference is held every spring to bring together teachers, researchers, and education professionals across the state. This was the third year that LbH has attended and presented at this event, and this was the first year that LbH was a sponsor of the event.
In our session, participants learned about our media oversight lesson plan. We discussed how the media connects oversight to the public, and participants had a chance to be a part of a mock lesson. They were able to fully understand how to use our materials and how they could benefit them in their classrooms.
We also got to attend many different sessions across the two days of the conference, from presenters hailing from all over Michigan. All in all, attending MCSS was a pleasure and we are looking forward to next year’s event.
