April 26, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

What is the relationship between auditors and legislators, and how do each contribute to effective oversight? Join the State Oversight Academy at the Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy for a conversation with state auditors. The discussion will cover state audit topics, maintaining a relationship with the legislature while maintaining political boundaries, and how auditing contributes to the overall state oversight ecosystem. Whether the auditor finds a problem during a routine investigation, or the committee requests an audit following a scandal, they need each other to bring positive, lasting change in their states. Join us as we discuss the ways in which they contribute to legislative oversight, as well as ensure transparency and accountability to the public along the way.
